One of the better banh mi at the northern suburbs, $9 roast pork banh mi with tiger bread is the specialty, roast pork was cooked perfectly with the skin done just right without any toughness. Friendly owners that remember your name and they also have hot takeaway food with daily menu items.
The Pork Banh Mi is one of the best in Melbourne hands down. They don’t scrimp on the filling. I need to try the hot food on the Bain Marie next time.
Honestly one of the best banh mis I have had. They keep the bread nice and warm so when they spread the butter and patè it just melts into the bread. I got the roast pork roll with a bottle of coke which came out to be 16 dollars, which to me isn't too bad. There were heaps of people there when I left which is a good sign that it's popular for good reason! I'll have to come back and try their daily specials at one point but definitely will be getting their roast pork banh mi again!
Simple menu = great taste! They’re generous with servings. The 2 lovely Asian ladies were quick to prepare orders. Twas busy from 10:30-11:30am when we were there. Non stop pick-up, takeaway and dine-in. Viet coffee a little bland but ok nonetheless.
One of my favourite bahn mi shops around this area. Quick service, delicious bahn mi ingredients within a tiger roll. Any bahn mi shop with tiger rolls I have found are generally good and CJ Roll have lived up to my expectations. Will see you again soon.
Fresh, clean, local. I've had much better bahn mi, but loved the local vibe and the food was edible. Although I rarely drink coffee, the mocha was good :)
Busy As! They have an automated ordering machine which creates some confusion - verbally ordering what you want gets you a faster result..! Top marks on all fronts; Roll 5/5 Salad 5/5 Protein 5/5 (Marinated Tofu was generous & delish) $10 Hot Vietnamese coffee was excellent too. Their bag lists Fried (Tempura) Prawns but that's not available at Preston, alas...
Wow! What a lovely no fuss cafe. I had the bun thit heo quay. It was amazing!! I can't wait to come back and try the pork roll. Thank you to the friendly staff
